Georgia Gay started at UMiami and thought she was doing everything right. She joined a sorority, embedded herself in Greek life, and tried to be the prototypical Miami sorority girl. But she soon realized this life wasn't for her. The girls were cliquey and boy-obsessed, and nobody in Miami cared about anything except partying. So she dropped her sorority on bad terms and became persona non grata in the Greek scene. Since then, she's sworn off frat boys and been in her self-described Rapunzel era. She's sick of everything and everyone and can't figure out a way to make school work for her.
Georgia walks through campus on her way to social media class and vlogs for us. She's on her way to see Ava, a former sorority sister from DPhiE who she's recently been trying to rekindle with. Georgia needs female friends, and Ava might be the only DPhiE girl that still likes her. They sit down for a matcha, and Georgia lays it all out—she's sick of being iced out by her former sisters and wants to make amends. She asks Ava to facilitate some sort of reconciliation.
Ava is a wolf in sheep's clothing. She's interested in Georgia because she's a clout chaser and knows Georgia's gonna be on a reality TV show. In truth, she hates Georgia, talks shit about her behind her back—we've seen this firsthand in interviews—and is completely loyal to her DPhiE sisters. Ava tells Georgia to come to a party the next night. She'll get her back in the sisters' good graces. Everything will be great.
Georgia is getting ready—plunge neckline blazer, Dyson blowout—and gives a confessional. She's incredibly nervous. Surprise: it's a cuffing party. Everyone has to be cuffed to someone of the opposite gender for the entire night. The girls ice Georgia out. Dirty looks, no conversation, except to confront her and tell her she's basically a piece of shit. Ava does not defend her. Georgia is forced to hang out with her cuff—a complete frat idiot loser. She leaves with no new girl friends and an increased level of hatred for frat guys.
Georgia meets up with Peter—a total character and similarly a self-described "popular hermit." She tells him about her night and explains she's fed up with frat boys. She wants someone artsy, someone who has "been through shit," with tiny tattoos and a Criterion subscription. Peter helps her look through Hinge. Meanwhile, we cut to vlogs of Georgia in her feminist era—reading Why Men Love Bitches. Then she goes on the date, and it's a complete disaster. This guy is awkward, gaunt, milquetoast—and yes, he's been through shit, but it's made him worse.
Georgia gets a text from her sister: "I'm coming to visit." Georgia panics. A) She has no friends. B) Her sister doesn't know she's barely in classes and is now a part-time student. So she cobbles together a group of essentially strangers for brunch—maybe Peter and his sister, and Sienna, a micro-influencer she's only really talked to over social media. It becomes very clear to her sister that these people don't really know each other. They don't know Georgia.
When everyone leaves, Georgia's sister confronts her. What the hell was that? You don't know those people. They don't know you. Georgia finally breaks down and tells her everything. She's a part-time student. Things in the sorority ended really badly. Her social life is struggling for it. And she tells her: "Please. Don't tell Mom." But her sister can't promise her that. She's worried about her, and telling Mom might be the only option.
Nikki is determined to stay true to her brand, despite the hot water it has gotten her in. Dubbed the "People's Princess," she is known for her messy appearance, unfiltered content, and controversial posts. From viral microinfluencer beef to a sorority rush crash out, she is always being talked about online. But, recently, she has started to feel like an animal in a zoo every time she walks around campus. Nikki's enemy Sienna's overwhelming confidence is mostly a facade. Beneath it, she's rattled by everything that happened first semester. Despite publicly claiming she's keeping her distance from other influencers, she's texting Colette to ask if they'll film together, checking her name on YikYak daily, and even filing a restraining order against Nikki.
Sienna explains her side of the story via self-recorded confessional vlog, saying that she was tone deaf and insecure when she posted the crash out video. She regrets it and is now trying to recover from her mini-cancellation. She denies the notion that she's a narc who ratted Nikki out to the dean for cyberbullying. She also claims she's not like other influencers because she doesn't "walk around campus with her camera up." Cut to: footage of her doing exactly this. She's a walking contradiction.
Nikki counters Sienna's story in the same confessional style. She was merely making a harmless parody of some funny viral U Miami news—Sienna took it too seriously and got her in trouble. Nikki claims Sienna tried to make a video with her after it all went down to capitalize on the drama for more followers. Nikki shows multiple receipts to prove Sienna is not as much of a victim as she says she is. We are hearing Nikki's side, but it is apparent that she is the clear bully in this situation.
A few weeks ago, Sienna texted Nikki and Colette asking to make a video together. They both ghosted her, but Sienna is determined to get in their good graces. She knows they have a class together, so she decides to confront them after it lets out. We see her anxious about this beforehand, as she walks over to the campus building.
Sienna confronts Nikki and Colette, and in this moment we learn how deep Nikki's distaste truly is. Nikki rips into Sienna, telling her she is embarrassing to be seen with. Sienna is naturally devastated, racking her brain to figure out how to get on Nikki's good side.
Desperate for someone to lean on, Sienna tries to reconcile with her old friends who dropped her after the drama went down. At lunch, they tell her the real reason they distanced themselves had much more to do with her personality and values than the video. Sienna is confused, and they let her know that Nikki has been spreading a ton of rumors about her. Sienna is upset, keeps saying how confused she is that Nikki is so loved by everyone. We clearly see that, while Sienna is angry with Nikki, deep down there is a lot of jealousy looming.
Lying in bed, Sienna sees a mean post about Nikki on YikYak. Sienna is no stranger to getting bullied on YikYak, so she thinks it's the nice thing to do to reach out. This is her way of, yet again, extending the olive branch. She sends Nikki a long paragraph and even offers to grab coffee to talk it out. When she presses send, the text immediately goes green. She realizes that Nikki blocked her.
We cut to a GRWM-style scene with Nikki. She explains how she was cut from all the sororities during rush because they saw her content as a "liability." She shows receipts from YikYak, TikTok, and Greek Rank. She technically isn't allowed to go to any sorority parties, but she is deciding to attend tonight regardless—in her classic rage-baiting fashion.
Nikki goes to a frat party and immediately feels like an outcast—they make fun of her, only use her to make content, or refuse to talk to her. This is often what happens when she goes out, or even just walks around campus. She vlogs the whole thing and plays it off as a joke, but when the camera is off she breaks down and admits that her feelings are actually hurt. She's sick of people just using her for content. She storms out and breaks down.
The morning after the party, Nikki is walking around campus feeling like a real outcast. She confesses that she is desperate to make real friends. And there's only one other person who can relate to what she's feeling—Sienna. Nikki takes out her phone, unblocks Sienna, and texts her, asking if she wants to grab lunch.
Sienna's GRWM to go to lunch with Nikki. She is super anxious, but is also hopeful that they'll finally be able to put their differences aside.
Nikki and Sienna meet up for lunch and finally confront their issues head on. Hashing out the whole beef, the rumors, the YikYaks, and the miscommunication. But they are not sure if too much damage has already been done. They're not sure if there's a way forward. As they're leaving, Nikki gets texts from Colette, telling Nikki that it's crazy for letting Sienna into her life.
Khari is always looking to build his brand, have the coolest outfits, and hook up with the hottest girls. He constantly has a roster going with at least four women, and he's always looking to add. But some think that his obsession with his roster comes from a place of insecurity. After all, he's getting sick of living in his best friend Edward's shadow. Edward is at the center of every social decision without even trying to be—who gets shackled with whom, who gets into parties. Call it pretty privilege or lucky boy syndrome, but things just tend to land in his lap.
Intercut: Khari's vs. Edward's day in the life. We see Khari grinding—going to the gym, working on his brand, flirting with girls, studying for class, talking about how he's trying to protein bulk to gain muscle. On the other hand, Edward is sleeping until noon, playing video games, ordering fast food for dinner, sending out his dirty clothes to a laundry service. Khari is furiously texting girls, while Edward's phone is on his nightstand, blowing up with notifications. The stark difference between these two best friends—Edward is the kind of guy who has it easy, Khari is working overtime to make it look like he's the same.
Edward and Khari go out to dinner with Brianna and Nina, their two girl friends. Both guys are pining after Nina—she's a jump ball. She is the hottest girl on campus. Khari is trying hard to put in the work on this date, but it is clear that Edward is hitting it off better with Nina. Eventually, Edward and Nina go home together and Khari is stuck with Brianna.
While walking home alone together, Edward and Nina walk on the beach, which leads to a makeout session. This is then interrupted with clips from an awkward walk home with Khari and Brianna. They are trying to manufacture a spark, but it is clear that Khari wishes he was with Nina and Brianna wishes she was with Edward.
A few nights later, Khari and Edward are at their SAE frat party. Nina isn't attending. Khari looks over mid-party and sees Edward making out with a new girl. This pisses Khari off, and he yells at Edward for messing things up with Nina. He managed to get the hottest girl in their grade, and he's willing to throw it all away for a random hook up. Edward is confused why Khari cares so much.
Khari hosts a launch party for his new clothing drop. He didn't invite Edward, but Edward shows up anyway—with Nina by his side. Edward is an aspiring real estate agent, currently trying to list his neighbor, NBA star Ivica Zubac's, house. Zubac keeps texting and calling Edward about the house, but Edward misses it, as he's out having fun. Already in a bad mood, Edward confronts Khari and the two get in a big fight. Edward accuses Khari of wanting to see him fail, and Khari snaps back, saying that Edward is arrogant and a bad friend.
